This group of volunteers is working to take an active role in organizing and conducting Ultimate events that develop personal responsibility and integrity. Texas, Ultimate! a volunteer based, non-profit organization which strives to connect community resources and provide a positive experience for all who wish to Play the Game, and Live the Spirit! through Ultimate Frisbee.
As we strive to meet this goal, we
Plan events in a timely manner according to an annual schedule.
Develop and maintain communication between players, coaches, parents, and teams.
Invest players with pride in the Spirit of the Game and responsibility for the success of Ultimate in communities in Texas.
Further, we:
will inspire that all players participate ethically, respect and tolerate different points of view, and strive resolve individual conflicts.
will challenge our players to achieve a high level of physical skill, personal fitness and sportsmanship with integrity.
will by encourage recognition and reward for athleticism and spirited play among teammates AND opponents in a spirit circle immediately following competition

Travel Guidelines

Since it will be a long day of Ultimate, the hope is that parents/faculty sponsors will coordinate carpools for the respective teams. Captains, please enlist the assistance of parents and sponsors to carpool players. We recommend the following travel guidelines:
ALL teams are expected to respect to suggested guidelines regarding team travel, driving and chaperones.
Drivers must be properly insured and at least 25 years of age to drive teams. Drivers who are 18 may DRIVE THEMSELVES, but are requested to have no passengers.

This Ultimate Event is hosted in cooperation with the Dallas Ultimate Association (DUA). High School Teams are invited to submit a roster to play for their school. Individuals will be accepted and added to teams or placed on a pick-up. The roster limit for each team is 12 players.
The venue will be the beautiful Los Colinas Polo Fields, just northwest of Dallas.
We will PLAY ULTIMATE on
February 13th, 2010 beginning at 10am.
Captains may check their team in beginning at 8:30 am
Teams are encouraged to meet to warm-up at 9:00am.
PLEASE Complete registration paperwork PRIOR to FEBRUARY 5, 2010 (complete registration instructions are on the DFW page)
We will accept school rosters with a maximum of 12 players for a cost of $50 per team.
Up to 16 teams will be accepted to participate in this one day event!

YOUTH CLINIC
Simultaneously, we will host a skills clinic and hat tournament for families and youth aged 7-17 years. Younger players should plan to participate in Ultimate Activites from 10 am-1pm.
After a brief instructional period in the skills and spirit of Ultimate, we will organize a round robin hat tournament equating teams with parents and players of all ages. Parents are encouaged to join in!

AUSTIN CITYWIDE ULTIMATE TOURNAMENT
All Ultimate Players (aged 10-14) are invited on
Saturday, December 12th, 2009
to play Ultimate ALL Afternoon (well for FIVE Hours...)
from 1:00am until 6:00pm
at the Travis High School

Tournament Rules
- Games will be played to FIVE points.
- Each team will play FIVE games.
- Teams will have rosters of FIVE players.
- Four will play on the field at a time.
- Subbing will follow regular Ultimate rules, at the end of a point.
- Team captains will flip for side, shirt color, and to pull or receive.
- There will be no halftime.
- Games will be played on fields that are 40 yards x 30 yards with 10 yard endzones.
Please bring a white shirt, and wear your school colors as a dark shirt. Also, bring a refillable water bottle and a snack. It is recommended that players wear soccer cleats. It will be a long day of physical activity; thus, a change of clothing is recommended (including extra socks).

South Garland NINES
On Saturday, November 21st teams of NINE players (seven on the line and two subs) will gather to play a day-long tournament. DFW Teams are encouraged to travel to South Garland High Shool.

Team Captains and Sponsors may recruit teams of NINE and only nine players. Please register your teams by November 10 , and mail a copy of your Team Roster
Individual players may register by completing the Player Registration Form If necessary, we will build rosters by combining individual players. Pool play will match like teams (Gender and Experience).
Cost per player is only $9. Please make Checks payable to Texas, Ultimate!.
Captains, please distribute the Informational Flyer to players, parents, faculty sponsors and school administrators.

South Garland Players Clinic and Hat Tournament
In lieu of holding a winter league, we will host clinics/hat tournaments around the metro-plex. Plano was the first in January. Keller got cancelled in February. We are going to South Garland in March!
We will meet at South Garland High School,
This map is directly to the parking lot. We have access to the three football fields and the soccer field inside the track!
EVERYONE, COME PLAY!
ALL Boys and Girls (aged 8-19) ARE WELCOME to meet at South Garland High School on SUNDAY, March 1, 2009.
By hosting these events, we hope to inspire players to develop ultimate clubs in their schools and communities with the support of their parents and teachers.
We will play until 5pm. Young players will attend an age appropriate clinic from 3:30-5:00pm. High School players (13-19 year-olds) will meet at 1pm.
The cost per player will be $7. The first 15 players to register will get a new Ultimate disc.

Inviting All HIGH SCHOOL ULTIMATE TEAMS from across the LONE STAR STATE to PLAY ULTIMATE on:

4th ANNUAL LONE STAR HIGH SCHOOL ULTIMATE TOURNAMENT
Initial seedings for all teams will be made based on feedback provided by the teams themselves. Play will be divided into pools for pool play that will occur in four morning rounds.
Following the completion of these rounds, all teams will be reseeded based on their pool play results. The top 8 teams will advance to the championship bracket (and the opportunity to compete for the State Title).
The remaining teams will compete in a consolation brackets (thereby guaranteeing that each team will play at least 5 games during the tournament).
Tournament Rules
All games will be played to 13 points.
Subbing will follow regular Ultimate rules (i.e., at the end of each point).
Team captains will flip for side, shirt color, and to pull or receive.

Showcase of High School Players
Players, selected by their peers, will represent Austin Area Ultimate Clubs in the High School Ultimate Player Showcase Event on Friday, June 5th, 2009 at House Park.
Local school-aged players precede the Texas Duel of Open Ultimate teams featuring Austin's own Doublewide vs. Dallas GRIT . Out of town players are invited to gather on Friday evening at House Park prior to the Ultimate Tournament featuring Elite teams including Johnny Bravo (Boulder, CO) Prairie Fire (Kansas) and numerous Doublewide teams, as they try-out players to represent Doublewide in the 2009 fall series.

Each captain should nominate top players from their clubs or schools. Players wil be assigned to one of two teams (BLUE TEAM and WHITE TEAM) who will play a demonstration game of Ultimate skills and Spirit of the Game.
Selected Players must complete the Player Permission Form and be at HOUSE PARK from 5:00pm - 9::00pm on Friday, June 5th.

Plano Players Clinic and Hat Tournament
In lieu of holding a winter league, we will host clinics/hat tournaments around the metro-plex. Plano will be the first. We hope to inspire players to develop teams to participate in a city wide tournament, which will be held in March, and then the HIGH SCHOOL State Tournament which will be held in April.
ALL ARE WELCOME to MEET at OLD SHEPARD's PARK at 1pm on SUNDAY, January 25th.
We will play until 5pm. The cost will be $7 to cover field use fees and
insurance costs. Bring a water bottle.
