Travel Guidelines
|

Since it will be a long day of Ultimate, the hope is that parents/faculty sponsors will coordinate carpools for the respective teams. Captains, please enlist the assistance of parents and sponsors to carpool players. We recommend the following travel guidelines:
ALL teams are expected to respect to suggested guidelines regarding team travel, driving and chaperones.
Drivers must be properly insured and at least 25 years of age to drive teams. Drivers who are 18 may DRIVE THEMSELVES, but are requested to have no passengers.
Those driving for a team or club should complete this
Chaperone Form. Please present the completed form to Texas, Ultimate! upon arrival at the event.

Our organization depends upon Volunteerism...
This group of volunteers is working to take an active role in organizing and conducting Ultimate events that develop personal responsibility and integrity.
Texas, Ultimate! a volunteer based, Texas non-profit organization which strives to connect community resources and provide a positive sporting experience for all who wish to
Play the Game, and Live the Spirit! through Ultimate Frisbee.
As we strive to meet this goal, we
Plan events in a timely manner according to an annual schedule.
Develop and maintain communication between players, coaches, parents, and teams.
Invest players with pride in the Spirit of the Game and responsibility for the success of Ultimate in communities in Texas.
Further, we:
will inspire that all players participate ethically, respect and tolerate different points of view, and strive resolve individual conflicts.
will challenge our players to achieve a high level of physical skill, personal fitness and sportsmanship with integrity.
will by encourage recognition and reward for athleticism and spirited play among teammates AND opponents in a spirit circle immediately following competition

MLK PLAY DAY

Inviting all Coaches, Captains, Sponsors, Parents, and Players to PLAY, Ultimate! to get some exercise, and honor the Rev. Martin Luther King on a school holiday. There is no cost for this event, but we need to let your parents know that you are playing. Player Waiver. Please bring this waiver with you when you come to join us.
PLAYERS OF ALL AGES ARE INVITED TO ENJOY THE DAY
We will meet 2:30pm for an Ultimate Play DAY. We have the field reserved until dark. We will meet at the East Side Community Field owned by Hollywood Henderson. It is the site of AISD's Original Anderson High and presently houses the East Boys and Girls Club.

In cooperation with the Dallas Ultimate Association (DUA), High School Teams are invited to participate in a day long event. Captains should submit a Team Roster.
Each player should complete the Player Waiver. Individual players will be accepted and added to teams.
Games will be held at Pearce High School in Richardson, TX. Players should plan to arrive at 8:15 am and be ready to play at 9am.
We will PLAY ULTIMATE on
March 12, 2011 beginning at 9am.
Details of the day are presented on this Tournament Flyer , which should be distributed to coaches, parents and players prior to travel.
Captains may check their team in beginning at 8:15 am
A group warm-up begins at 9:00am.
PLEASE submit a team application prior to March 1, 2011
We will accept school rosters with a maximum of 12 players
Up to 8 teams will be accepted to participate in this one day event!

FABULOUS FIVES
AUSTIN CITYWIDE ULTIMATE TOURNAMENT
All Ultimate Players (aged 9-16) are invited on
Saturday, March 24th, 2012
to play Ultimate ALL DAY (well for FIVE Hours...)
from 9:00am until 2:00pm
at the Travis High School
Tournament Rules
- Games will be played to FIVE points.
- Each team will play FIVE games.
- Teams will have rosters of FIVE players.
- Four will play on the field at a time.
- Subbing will follow regular Ultimate rules, at the end of a point.
- Team captains will flip for side, shirt color, and to pull or receive.
- There will be no halftime.
- Games will be played on fields that are 40 yards x 30 yards with 10 yard endzones.
Please bring a white shirt, and wear your school colors as a dark shirt. Also, bring a refillable water bottle and a snack. It is recommended that players wear soccer cleats. It will be a long day of physical activity; thus, a change of clothing is recommended (including extra socks).

6th ANNUAL LONE STAR HIGH SCHOOL ULTIMATE TOURNAMENT
Initial seedings for all teams will be made based on feedback provided by the teams themselves. Play will be divided into pools for pool play that will occur in four morning rounds.
Following the completion of these rounds, all teams will be reseeded based on their pool play results. The top 8 teams will advance to the championship bracket (and the opportunity to compete for the State Title).
The remaining teams will compete in a consolation brackets (thereby guaranteeing that each team will play at least 5 games during the tournament).
Tournament Rules
All games will be played to 13 points.
Subbing will follow regular Ultimate rules (i.e., at the end of each point).
Team captains will flip for side, shirt color, and to pull or receive.
Mirror the pull at halftime.

All captains, coaches, parents and players are invited to meet and greet and get organized for the Winter Tournament Day on Saturday, December 10.
Rosters of five players will compete from 9am - 2pm. Please bring completed registrations and we will finalize rosters, and distribute team jerseys.

This is a required training for ALL AISD Teacher's who are hosting programs in their schools. We will be very efficient with our training, and have time to meet other program facilitators while relaxing and enjoying the sunset and the pool.

We will present t team of the best players from our city
to participate in the 2011 TEXAS SECTIONAL USA ULTIMATE TOURNAMENT
on September 24th in Manor, TX.
We hope to gather our most skilled and
Spirited boys and girls to represent us.
Players must be currently enrolled in an Austin Area High School, and a member of USA Ultimate.
ALL are welcome and invited to try out!
The roster caps at 20 players.
Those players who wish to be considered for the 2011 Fall CLUB Roster must complete the Player Waiver; AND, bring it when you come play on Sunday from 11 am - 2pm at San Marcos High School.

We will play in the open division among Club teams from Texas (players of all ages from 16 - 56) who are NOT seeking a bid to represent Texas in Regional play.
The tournament will be held on SATURDAY, September 24th. Players must be available ALL DAY Saturday.

Play begins at 9am on Saturday. The High School All Stars will meet Austin Doublewide, Space City Fuel, and Space City Ignite through out the day. Championship play will continue on Sunday as Texas Decides which 5 teams will represent our Section in Regional Play.

Pure,cool delicious drinking water, snacks and an Ultimate disc will be provided to each player who registers by October 1.

On Saturday, teams of NINE players (seven on the line and two subs) will gather to play a day-long tournament. Teams are encouraged to travel to LAKE Travis High School.

Team Captains and Sponsors may recruit teams of NINE and only nine players. Please RSVP by November 4 . UltimateSpirit.org. Completed Waivers and payment will be collected at the event.
Rosters are OPEN to any combination of Boys and Girls. All players must be younger than 20 years of age. Recent Alumni (those graduated in 2011) are encouraged to help organize and play if they are still 19.
The Team Roster must be completed by the start of play and hold for the day.
Parents who are willing to help travel players should complete this

Rules for Play
Rosters may have 7 - 9 players. SEVEN on the line for each point.
(You may play with out subs, but may have no more than two subs to maximize playing time for each player)
Games will be played to 9 points with a half-time after one team reaches 5 points.
Teams will mirror to start the second half.
The days schedule will provide at least 3 games for each team.
